Right to Choose – Important Information

Please note that the North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board (ICB) has introduced a minimum waiting period of 78 weeks from the date a Right to Choose referral is received before any provider can proceed with an assessment.

Please be aware that 78 weeks is the minimum waiting time only. Actual waiting times may vary depending on commissioning arrangements, service capacity, and any future changes made by the ICB.

This timescale has been determined by the ICB as part of its commissioning and capacity planning arrangements. Unfortunately, this is outside the control of Right to Choose providers, and providers are unable to expedite assessments or offer appointments before the minimum waiting period has elapsed.
